I shower every night before going in the bed . It’s been super humid out . People don’t realize how much shit is on their body . You’re supposed to rinse off before you go in pool or hot tub and folks I would think twice about going in the community hot tub. If you own a pool open your skimmer lid and look at the crisco buildup on the plastic or the scum line around waterline . You shed a ton of shit when you get in there. Little kids love drinking pool water and then parents freak out when they’re shitting their brains out. Don’t be a filthy animal shock your pool and take a shower

As for me, I've been in the sun every summer for my entire life. I use a 15, even in South FL or the Caribbean, and I never have so much as a sun burn, never had any cancer, I'm a lucky man.
My sister-in-law can sit in the sun for 30 minutes and get all kinds of skin blemishes. We're all built differently, I'm unlikely to change my behavior now
Our pool is always pristine. We use this product called Enjoy, and our pool always tests great.
Having said that, before we have a pool party and /or the grandchildren, I always dump a couple of gallons of shock in the pool. I think that's good advice.
Good stuff willie even shock after . Use non stabilized shock stay away from trichlor. It’s not protected from sunlight so it kills and disinfects. even If you have a salt pool better to shock then put your cell on super chlorinate. Takes life from cell. Most importantly test for cyanuric acid and try to keep around 50 ppm . In the USA it’s acceptable up to 100 ppm however you will need to add so much more chlorine to make it effective. Buy a bucket of pro team supreme aka borates a much better buffering agent worth the money .
Trichlor is stabilized similar to old school hockey pucks people put in their skimmers . The problem with these thing is they got a ph of around 2-4 so extremely acidic . Theses fuckers will rot your heater not to mention destroy your liner If you have a vinyl pool look below the skimmers if there’s massive wrinkles it’s a tell tale sign your putting tabs in skimmers make ing your plastic brittle. Stay away from trichlor it’s garbage.also it raises your cyanuric acid level through the rough where your actually producing ammonia and chlorine becomes completely ineffective.
